Malvagio walked among the dark forests of the Amethyst Kingdom. Her dark brown eyes staring into the looming shadows. Night was just falling on the kingdom, and the moon in the sky made her fur appear to look like silver. Everything was silent, so quite you could hear the wolf's paws padding softly against the ground. Malva was looking for a place to rest in the forest, but it was hard looking through the darkening shadows, her eyes weren't accustomed to the darkness yet. Nothing to tell her where she was going. She looked around the area she was in, trying to remember where she was in the kingdom, then she heard small waves crashing against the shore, then she knew she was by the only lake in the kingdom. Maybe I should rest here and get a drink, she thought to herself.
When she reached shore of the lake she took a good long drink, her throat being dry from not having water all day. She laid down in the cool grass, her ears up and alert for anything. The long silence just seemed too good to be true. Nothing was this quiet, there should still be a few animals or something other then her out here in the night. The eeriness of the silence was almost too much to bear, and Malva was close to flattening her ears and growling from this endless lack of noise. Then she heard a faint sound, she pricked her ears up to listen more closely, and there it was again, louder, and sounding much closer. It sounded like a twig snapping, and the sound now seemed to echo around the silent forest.
"Hello?" Malvagio called out in the darkness, "Is anybody there?"
